Turnaround Café & Brightspace

We have a dream of opening a place where people in recovery can come not just to work, but to heal, connect, and belong. The Turnaround Café and Brightspace Foundation will be a sober, late-night café and laundromat in Northwest Austin—offering job training, peer support, and a welcoming space for community. Built by and for people in recovery, Turnaround Café will be more than a business—it will be a refuge, a launchpad, and a place where second chances feel possible.

Our goal is to open our doors by early 2026, and we can’t do it alone. With your support, we’ll secure a space, outfit it with café and laundry equipment, and begin hiring a team that reflects the heart of our mission. Every donation helps us bring this dream closer to reality. Together, we can build a place where recovery is celebrated, purpose is restored, and community is always brewing.

Our Fundraising Mission: Building a Community of Recovery

To bring this vision to life, we’re working to raise $100,000 in individual donations to supplement grant opportunities and cover critical startup costs—including leasing a space, purchasing equipment, and launching our job training program. This seed funding will help us open our doors by early 2026 and begin changing lives from day one. You can help by making a donation, becoming a monthly supporter, or spreading the word about our mission. Every dollar brings us closer to creating a space where recovery is supported, community is built, and hope is always on the menu.

In addition to financial support, we’re actively seeking community partners, mentors, and volunteers who share our belief in the power of recovery and second chances. Whether you’re a local business owner interested in collaborating, someone in long-term recovery who wants to mentor others, or a neighbor who can lend a few hours of time, there’s a role for you in this movement. Building Turnaround Café is a collective effort—and together, we can create a space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives.
